Dear Friends,


It has been over 20 years since we settled here in the mountains of northern Italy and we are pleased to report that little has changed.

Every evening, the older men at the local cafe boisterously slap down their cards as their wives make their way to church. Stonecutters and masons practice their craft with care. Prosciutto is cured to perfection through a process that is uniquely simple. These are just a few examples of the European heritage that attracted us here decades ago, and throughout our annual travels we continue to discover new facets to this, as yet, unpolished stone.

We all travel for the thrill of discovery, a deeper understanding of other cultures and the pleasure of a fine meal and a smile. For 17 years now, we have dedicated ourselves to these pursuits. Through our walking programs, we have slowed the pace of our journey to savor the intimate experiences that Europe still offers.
